I came across the CUTEST pattern yesterday while browsing thru the books at Joann’s.
It is McCalls #6481. On sale for $1.99 so of COURSE I had to get it. My kids like LOVE the original birds, so I thought this would be a fun thing to do. All that was left was to grab some fleece remnants (on double-sale) and felt squares and I was good to go! This is the first one, sort of an orangey-red. I was going to make him more cute, but Monster said he HAD to be ANGRY!! I complied by cutting out the eyebrows and attaching them. 
I still think he’s pretty cute—with his off-center beak he looks like he is smiling a bit.
